PRESS RELEASE: EID EL FITRI MESSAGE (English/Yoruba)
Religious practice in Nigeria, Christianity and Islam inclusive has become a mere gimmick for extortion, making the houses of God to become haven of fraudsters and deposit base for looted blood money, with impunity and without control. This has relegated to the poor second, religious houses interventions in controlling the spread and evolving of solution to COVID 19 pandemic leaving government to the poor mercy of mere physical and medical precautionary measures which we must all abide with.
Government must avoid diversionary effect but therefore use this period of COVID 19 phobia to address the primary issues on ground in the areas of Health Sector, Education, Poverty and Hunger, and Infrastructural challenges not to shut down development.
Medical and Pharmaceutical Departments, Institutions, Research Centres, Herbal Experts and NAFDAC need to work together on home grown scientific based culture antidote to COVID 19 to cure victims. This is because nobody will trust any vaccine from the western world which is the source of this COVID 19 pandemic, even if the Bill is forced to be passed by the House on it.
A dire need for downward review of political office holder’s salaries and allowances and that of the heavy top in the institutions and agencies as well as reduction of cost of entourage management is desired without downsizing the workforce to avoid social menace to save us from economic collapse during and after COVID 19 pandemic. Religious sectors must be critically examined on scripture compliance, house of worship sacredness, for government and the nation to depend and rely on their clerics and for COVID 19 to be stopped through divine intervention.
Happy Eid El Fitri.

Sermon (Friday Jumat)
Prophet Mohammed is a celebrity of note who had his name immortalized through sincere struggle for human emancipation, orderliness, justice and equity establishments. He is a living legend in the heart of all. His exemplary life style through patience, perseverance and discipline made him a role model both at celestial and terrestrial planes of life. Those in the positions of power and affluence therefore need to emulate the Holy Prophet by allowing the wealth of the nation to be equitably distributed for higher human development index and for poverty to become a thing of the past among our people. A situation whereby labour and their workers always had to go on strike to get their claims and benefits does not portray our various governments to be committed to the welfare of the people.
As Muslims all over the world celebrate the birth of Prophet Muhammed (SAW) – Maolud Nabbiy therefore, we call on Religious Leaders to empower their congregation economically according to the teaching of Holy Books so as to make them have positive impact in the society.
While we identify with our Christian counterparts over the Boko Haram insurgencies and pray the Almighty Allah would replace all lost properties in multiple folds, we call on the Federal government to hasten up in bringing to book the cabals behind the Boko Haram attacks, and advise the various Governments (Federal, State and Local Government) to create more jobs for the youth so as to avoid their being used as pawn in the hand of enemies of the State as well as to be able to develop their God given potentials in order to be relevant in the scheme of things as true nation builders and reliable future leaders.
Let us consequently use the occasion to turn to the Almighty Allah by keeping good neighbourliness, integrity, tolerance, unity of purpose, rebranding to reform into values, and patriotism to justify the granted holiday and the readiness to emulate the good character of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW).
SERMON TITLE: Upholding the Truth Always …..
I seek refuge in Allah from accursed Satan, the one that misleads; I begin in the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.Praise be to Allah, the Creator of all that exists, The Beneficent, the Merciful. Allah it is who has power over all without any insufficiency. He is far above all. May His peace and blessings be upon all Holy Prophets and Messengers and their sincere followers, Amin.I bear witness that Prophet Mohammed (SAW) is His Messenger and a perfect example of a worshipper of Allah. May the Almighty Allah bless the Holy Prophet (SAW) his household and followers as was on Prophet Ibraheem, his household and followers.
Quran 61 vs 2-3 states clearly that believer should say only that which truth as anything is less is most hateful in the sight of Allah. For those who believe in Allah and the last day. Their shield is Allah and as such, they only fear Allah and no human beings. They are upright and uphold upright virtues whether they are alone or are amongst people. They do behave differently in different for a.
It is sad to note that today, a lot of people have different attitude and behaviors for different for because they have kept the spiritual lessons in this verse in the shelve forgetting that, this abode is a temporary one and that of the hereafter.
The triple effects of this behaviou cannot be under estimated. It has led to bad leadership corruption, hyprocrysy, etc.
I therefore enjoin us as Muslims to be true believers of Allah and uphold the truth always.
We all have an account to give in the world to come!

SERMON TITLE: Believers: Where are we in the Call to the Path of Righteousness?
I seek refuge in Allah from accursed Satan, the one that misleads; I begin in the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful.Praise be to Allah, the Creator of all that exists, The Beneficent, the Merciful. Allah it is who has power over all without any insufficiency. He is far above all. May His peace and blessings be upon all Holy Prophets and Messengers and their sincere followers, Amin.I bear witness that Prophet Mohammed (SAW) is His Messenger and a perfect example of a worshipper of Allah. May the Almighty Allah bless the Holy Prophet (SAW) his household and followers as was on Prophet Ibraheem, his household and followers.I testify that it is only sincere worship as exemplified in the Prophets of Allah and His Messengers that is the only path to righteousness. All believers should therefore turn to Him to attain righteousness. Righteousness should not stop at the self but for others as well. Sincerely, it is high time believers ask themselves how far and at what point they are in the search for righteousness and calling others to the path. Recent developments have shown that only a few believers pay attention to following the path of righteousness let alone have the right knowledge to call others to the path. The common explanation given is that ‘My schedule is very busy’ “I will settle down to the path of righteousness after achieving all I want to achieve in life”, etc. Allah States clearly in the Holy Quran Surah 7 Vs.26 thus: “O ye children of Adam! We have bestowed raiment upon you to cover your shame as well as to be an adornment to you but the raiment of righteousness that is the best. Such are among the signs of Allah that they may receive admonition!”Allah enjoins us further in Quran, Surah 24 vs 55
“Allah has promised to those among you who believe and work righteous deeds that He will of a surety grant them in the land inheritance (of power) as He granted it to those before them; that He will establish in authority their religion the one which He has chosen for them; and that He will change (their state) after the fear in which they (lived) to one of security and peace: `They will worship Me (alone) and not associate aught with Me.’ If any do reject faith after this they are rebellious and wicked.”
Let us all therefore rise up and uphold the path of righteousness and also call others to it. We should remember always that Allah has not created us for any other purpose but for His worship. Every other purpose after this is secondary. Culled from the Friday sermon delivered by the Rasool Shafau (Imitizala Muhammed) Alhaji Engr.
